Hi All,
As we get ready for this year's American Idol Contest, I have updated the web site and created a FaceBook Fan page for you to follow. Please check us out on FaceBook. Click Here
Welcome to our 2011 contest!
Rules:
Pick the top 12 in the order in which you expect them to get eliminated. Each week the points are calculated as follows: The order in which a person is eliminated is subtracted from the order in which you guessed them to be out. The absolute value of this determines your points for that week. If you pick the overall American Idol winner correctly, you get zero points that week, plus a bonus of five points subtracted from your total score. The person with the lowest points at the end of the contest is the winner. NOTE: If for some reason they eliminate more than 1 person the same night, then we just count them in the order they are announced. For example, they might choose to eliminate 2 people the first week since there are 13 contestants this year instead of Top 12. Then the 1st person announced is #1, etc.
*** ANNOUNCEMENT ***
Since Thia and Naima both got out at the same time I have decided to list them in the order they were sent to the bottom three. Therefore Naima is listed first.
Tie Breaker: In the event of a tie, we take the tied contestants only and start at week 12 (the winner of Idol) and look at the points received for that week. The contestant with the lowest points wins. (For ex, if you are the only person who picked the winner of Idol correctly, you would have 0 points for week 12 (not counting the bonus), making you the winner of the contest). If more than 1 of the tied contestants had the same point value that week, we move up to week 11 and look at the points for that week, and so on. If by some crazy chance there is STILL a tie (maybe 2 people had the exact same picks for example), then both contestants win!
